Erin Conrad
Erin Conrad began playing violin in 3rd grade in 1995, quickly progressing under Dr. Carolyn Broe's instruction. She joined the Paradise Valley Community College (PVCC) Orchestra in 1998 and became Concert Master in 2000. After taking a break to serve in the United States Marine Corps, she returned to music in 2014 as a teacher. She has performed with several orchestras in the valley, including Voices of the Valley Orchestra, Scottsdale Philharmonic, Women of Arizona (WOA), and the Gilbert Symphony Orchestra. Her training encompasses both the Suzuki Method and traditional approaches.
With over a decade of teaching experience, Erin Conrad has developed a comprehensive lesson plan that combines traditional teaching methods—utilizing Essential Elements and All for Strings—with the Suzuki method to create well-rounded students skilled in ear training, theory, and sight reading. Conrad is currently in the process of writing her own method book as well.
